Made to measure

The first and most important feature of the BellaVista System technology is that it is made to measure. Every screen will be made with precision to within a millimetre. We don’t have fixed heights or widths for each module so we can listen to your needs and make the product suitable for you.

Measurements

The size of the frame is only 40 mm. There are small feet of approximately 40 mm. The thickness of the whole system is only 120 mm.

The suggested width of the module is 1700 mm. The recommended height is 1900 mm. A table below shows the maximum measurements that can be reached.

The 40 mm feet can also be chosen in different sizes or removed altogether.

INTERNAL and SIDE View.

The motor is placed in the lower crankcase (height from the ground 160 mm). The crankcase can be removed if maintenance is needed for the mechanism or the motor.

BellaVista System has reduced the space between glass and frame to the minimum.

This is to ensure maximum continuity of the glass when the modules are placed close to each other.

Heights and two possible resting positions for the glass

It is possible to have two types of glass resting positions:

PROTRUDING GLASS (type A)

In the lowered position, the glass protrudes in any case from the frame by 200 mm. This solution, at parity of maximum height of the upper glass, allows the frame to be constructed with lower height dimensions, excluding the part in aluminium from the onlooker’s visual field and maximising transparency.

CONCEALED GLASS (type B)

In the lowered position, the glass is completely concealed in the frame. This implies that at parity of maximum height of the mobile element, the height of the fixed frame will be greater.

Maximum height

The recommended height is 1800 mm (fixed frame of 1000 mm). The suggested width of the module is 1700 mm. It is possible to make the structure higher overall by raising the lower fixed part by a height “Y” to be determined each time.

The height can be designed to measure (we would suggest up to a maximum of 2000 mm ). A table of possible heights is given below.

Materials, motors and components

The mobile screen, known also as a wind break, has been designed and built to measure with selected and tested materials in their systems, all to the benefit of their quality and functionality. The aluminium structure is in primary anodized alloy (20μm) or painted in polyester powders. Bolts and pins are in stainless steal. Materials are suited for use in coastal areas.

The mobile panel is in glass that is tempered or laminated up to 10 mm, with polished edges.

The bottom part can be in laminated or opaque glass up to a thickness of 12 mm or a blind panel. The blank panel can be painted or cover like a wall.

All the materials guarantee excellent quality and no need for maintenance.

The electrical motors are correctly sized according to dimensions. We provide 220V motors with integrated electronic control and electronic limit swich regulations (this guarantees that the regulations do not change during time). Single electricity connection, there is an electrical feedthrough in each module.

No parts need lubrification or planned maintenance.

Glass Corner

Thanks to the absence of frame between the moving glass, BellaVista System creates an all-glass effect and you can enjoy the angle free from obstruction.

Blank lower panel or even omitted

The lower part can be made in blank panels.  We propose ready-made material to be painted as if it were a wall or covered in reconstructed stone or wood.

The panels can be removed easily for maintenance purposes.

It is also possible not to install lower panels, for example, in situations where the screen is placed inside an existing parapet.

Permanent seal

The panels in glass are only 4 mm away from each other. There is the option to install seals in transparent polycarbonate, specifically researched by GM Morando.

These seals for use in periods of residence are fitted between the two glass panels, closing out draughts and providing even greater protection to the environment. This possibility is particularly appreciated by business owners with open spaces that, during the winter months, can have a complete glass barrier.

It is possible to add also a upper rubber seal to close the space between the screen and the upper structure / awning.

Shaped glass

The upper glass can be made in non-rectangular geometries.

Installation: lower or side fixing

The BellaVista System walls can be made to surround spaces of all types and sizes. There are no limits in the horizontal direction.

Gm Morando pays special attention to the stages of the assembly. This translates into construction details aimed at simplifying the setting up and thus installation is faster.

Still with a view to simplifying assembly, there is lower seating where it is possible to conceal the electrical connections, carried out with a single through cable.

Some standard aluminium fixing clamp has been provided. On all the groud clamps there are hex keys to raise or lower the clamp in order to fit the ground.

Standard clamp (internal and external screws)

The standard clamp is 180x60x15 mm. It has two screws: one inside and the other outside the windbreak.

Internal clamp (only internal screws)

This allows fixing by only operating the internal part of the screen (useful, for example, when the installation is placed on existing structures where the external side cannot be reached).

Measures: 200x60x15 mm.

Clamp with hidden screws (under the frame)

The third idea is to hide the fixing screws under the horizonal profile. The clamp is 120mm wide like the windbreak.

With these clamps the fixing should be stroger. The distance beetwen the holes in smaller, so the wind strength (leverage) can be highter.

Side anchoring

There is also an opportunity to carry out side anchoring of the uprights directly on to existing pillars or walls.

Here we use a 35 mm steel (20 mm diameter).

It is possible, on request, to design different anchoring clamps according to your requirements.

Fixing is possible directly on the ground or also on the lower frame (like the supports for the external paving of outside areas).

Special ground level fixing clamps have been designed following this principle: they allow the modules to be lined up easily. Where necessary, for example, in gazebos in public spaces it is possible also to have a grill base to which to anchor the panels and possible place the paving for outdoor areas. Our technical office is always ready to find the best anchoring solution for each installation.

Safety

The screen has been designed with special attention to the aspects and regulations of accident prevention and safety:  for example, the mobile glass never actually touches the lower frame; it stops a few cm short so that any danger of crushing is avoided.

Nevertheless, we must point out that these types of products (as, for example, in electrical rolling shutters), are defined as articles with “under supervision” type and responsible automation: this means that the operator activating the movement must be present in order to check that no dangerous situations arise.

Use as a parapet

Use as a parapet is provided for both with a lower panel in glass or with a blank panel. The glass, materials and fixing clamps are in the sizes necessary to fulfil this function.
